Coming together from a variety of backgrounds and experiences, our ministry team is the backbone of Grace Pointe. Their ideas help shape the direction and mission of our church body as it continues to grow and expand the Kingdom of God. Read on to learn more about some of our incredible team members.

PASTOR SHANE & DAVA SWAFFORD

Lead Pastor

Pastor Shane and Dava have served Grace Pointe since January 2005. Pastor Shane is an Ordained Bishop in the Church of God and was called into pulpit ministry in September 1993. He has served as an Evangelist, Associate Pastor, and Lead Pastor. He has a heart for Kingdom work and a desire to see God's power change lives.

Dava is also a life changer. She has served in children's ministry, Sunday School, and is currently a 3rd Grade public school teacher. They have been married since June 15, 1991 and have identical twin sons, Seth and Sam, who serve on the worship team at Grace Pointe.

Tiffani Loyd

Children's Leader

Tiffani started attending Grace Pointe as a child in 1989. Growing up in the Church, she witnessed first-hand the importance of children's ministry. She picked up the torch for children's ministry in 2012. She has a wonderful husband Bobby Loyd, who also works with the Youth, Men's Ministry, and Grace Pointe Security Team. They are blessed with three amazing children: Alana, Alex, and Alivia.

Teresa Battles

Youth Leader

Teresa started attending Grace Pointe as a child in 1986. Growing up in the Church, she witnessed first-hand the importance of youth ministry as her mom held that position for many years. She has served the church in many capacities and took over the Grace Pointe Students in 2019. She is married to Aaron Battles who serves on the Grace Pointe Security Team. They are blessed with two amazing daughters: Annsley and Emily Brooke.

Richard and Gesta Riggs

Young Adult Ministry

Richard and Gesta joined Grace Pointe in 2024 and come with a vast experience in youth and young adult ministry. They have an incredible desire to see the young people of the church find their place and reach their full potential for the Kingdom of God.

Gail Clark

Women's Ministry

Gail has been a part of Grace Pointe since 1989. She has served as Sunday School and Wednesday night teacher for various age groups. She has served in many other areas in the church as well. She has led the women's ministry since 2018 and heads up the women's Tuesday night Bible Study and other outreach and in house events.

Our incredible worship team is made up of the following dynamic and dedicated individuals from L to R: Michael Gable (Bass Guitar), Seth Swafford (Keys and Vocals), Rick Morris (Drums), Sam Swafford (Worship Leader, Vocals, and Guitar), Annsley Battles (Vocals), and Alex Loyd (Guitar)

Grace Pointe Media/Sound Team

Media and Sound Ministry

Luke Peek (L) has been attending Grace Pointe from birth. He has served in the media ministry for the past few years continuing to learn and grow his talent for this important area of ministry.

Virgil Beatenbo (R) is a sound technician professional who has served in churches and worked with other musical artists and events prior to joining Grace Pointe. He and his wife Becky are an invaluable asset to Grace Pointe.
